Trade Author, James Beard Awardee, Journalist, Public Speaker

David Sax is a writer and reporter who specializes in business and culture. He is the author of four nonfiction books (so far), including The Revenge of Analog, a #1 Washington Post bestseller that was selected as one of Michiko Kakutani's top ten books of 2016 for the New York Times, and has been translated into seven languages. Sax’s first book, Save the Deli, won a James Beard award for writing and literature, and was developed by NBC as the basis for a sitcom. His most recent book The Soul of an Entrepreneur (PublicAffairs/Hachette) was published in April 2020, and looks at the myth and reality surrounding entrepreneurship. David has written for The New York Times, The New Yorker, Bloomberg Businessweek, FastCompany, and  many more over his career as a journalist, and he is a frequent keynote  speaker on the subject of his books around the world.  He knows how challenging it can be to  write book proposals, and looks forward to helping authors understand  the process better. David lives in Toronto, Canada.
